Gleam’s Brand Ambassador

Nadege Schoenfeld

Emmy Award-winning artist, Nadege Shoenfeld, is Gleam Body Radiance’s brand ambassador. Fittingly, Nadege hails from the ancient city of Nevers, France, once part of Julius Caesar’s Roman empire, and it is still filled with shimmering bronzed Roman antiquities and treasures left behind.

After she arrived to the United States, Nadege trained with her then father-in-law, a master makeup artist, and later with renowned body makeup artist Twyla Milano.

Nadege has worked in film and television makeup professionally for 31 years, doing professional makeup for Julia Roberts, Michelle Pfieffer, Emma Thompson, Goldie Hawn, Meg Ryan, Diane Keaton, Farah Fawcett and so many more, as well as working on iconic television shows such as Dallas, Knots Landing and Falcon Crest.

As a key member of department head makeup artist Melanie Mills’ talented team for ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” Nadege helps to bring Mills’ makeup designs to life for the show’s patented look of head-to-toe glamour.

The craft of Body makeup has a unique history in Hollywood. Nadege says, “There was a group of body makeup artists that were already established when I started in 1979. The story goes that body makeup artists were first hired because film legend Greta Garbo had to have body makeup on a movie, but only men were makeup artists at the time. Greta wanted a woman artist for the body makeup application.”

Nadege’s expertise in making celebrities camera ready and picture perfect is made possible with Mills’ Gleam Body Radiance. “Melanie’s Gleam Body Radiance makes the skin looked beautiful to the eye but also on camera. It is an amazing product. I just wish I had Gleam years ago,” says Nadege. “It makes the skin flawless and it would have made my job easier if I had it then.”

The four Gleam Body Radiance shades are applied by Nadege to many of the top celebrities who have appeared on “Dancing with the Stars,” as well as high profile award shows such as the Academy Awards.

Melanie designed Gleam Body Radiance to last, perfect and benefit the skin. Nadege says, “Melanie is the one who came up with Gleam as we know it today, and she knew what ingredients to mix together. She knew she could do better than what was available on the market. With Gleam Body Radiance, she came up with the perfect solution for a body makeup artist to work with.”

The celebrities love Gleam Body Radiance. Nadege says, “You just have to make sure it dries really well. On ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ I apply Gleam and let the stars and dancers wear a robe after to allow it to dry completely before dressing.” Nadege’s technique is simple. “I start with both one leg and one arm and tell them to look at the difference with the side of their body not done yet. The skin with Gleam on just pops and looks dewy.”
